I recently had a new valve camshaft with the updated rockers and #6 injector replaced. Truck ran great for about 2000 miles. Slowly started to develope a slight random miss, noticed only at high idle. Now the miss is very noticeable and sounds uneven. Any suggestions would be great!

It could be a flat cam lobe, common problem with ISX15 or another bad injector.

Thanks boneebone. I'll do an injector leak test when I get some time. I'll let you know the results.

I agree with Boneebone. A cam is late somewhere with a lobe (Or early) or probably flat.

Desiel engines once fired run forever on own compression provided there is fuel and air.

15 also have a problem with gear slipping on cam shaft. Gears are just pressed on and have been known to slip, ISX issue which I have experienced.

Sorry for the late update to my problem. It turned out to be another bad injector.

When one goes, they normally all start to fail... Especially if they are factory originals. That age and wear thing.

Not if you follow Quickserve manual, Loc Tite 609 needs to be applied to cam and torqued to proper specs. Most shops just throw the gears on and call it a day. There is your slippage.
