Does your refrigerator need to have a place for the condensation to go?

Not that I am aware of. Almost 2 yrs old,.. just plugged it in and put food in it. Clean it out when I come home. Frostless freezer.

    Hurst,
Very nice setup. Two questions on the Frieghtliner modifications:
    1) My 2013 Freightliner cabinet behind the driver includes a section at the very bottom of the cabinets with some type of equipment. The cover has vent holes. What's in there and did you have to (re)move the contents?
    2) The lower portion of the cabinets in your picture look like they were custom made. All of the corners are nicely rounded - no signs of removing the bottom cabinets. Is this because what is left is what was the top of an open space in the cabinet stack?

    Hurst Thanks this.

The Cascadia has the HVAC for the sleeper located in the tower behind the driver side seat. Refrigerators in those are usually built in on the other side, if memory serves.
    Of our drivers,
only the guy running to FL regularly has a built in fridge and that is a Truck Fridge OEM type and not a dorm fridge powered with AC.

Hurst has a good setup for older models, but doing that with a Cascadia would need many adjustments to the installation.

I didn't drive the Western Stars long enough for the memory to remain set in stone, but they did have the fridge, a built in, above the HVAC unit behind the seat iirc. This was a 2005, actually 2 different ones. You may be able to configure something like that.

Many trucks have been customized over the years.

My truck is a Columbia. I have been inside a Cascadia and they are very similar in terms of how the cabinets are designed and mounted to the sleeper walls.

Min had 2 cabinets behind the driver seat. An upper and a lower. I did not touch the upper. There are screws/bolts at the back of the cabinet that mounts to a bracket that attaches to the sleeper wall. I just unbolted everything, with some pulling and tugging it comes out and went right out the passenger side door.

I was left with nothing but the open space behind the seat. I carpeted everything in the back. All you are seeing in the pic of the fridge is the fridge itself and the microwave on top. No cabinet at all. I left the original bracket attached to the well and use a bungee strap to the back of the fridge to prevent it from falling over in the even of a hard turn.

The outlet is mounted in the lower cabinet on the passenger side. I have plans to put an indoor floor style stand up AC inside that cabinet and will probably move the outlet to the upper portion of the lower cabinet.

Nothing fancy,.. very simple and easy to do. I have a condo so there is still plenty of room for other storage, plus I removed the mattress from the upper bunk and use that like a large shelf for storage.

The rear HVAC controls are on the rear wall in the left rear corner to the back of the sleeper. I had no wiring or panels to contend with.

Not sure in the Cascadia,.. but in the Columbia I could have just as easily put the fridge behind the passenger seat.

I don't own the truck and a lease company does, but I could remove the passenger seat and put fridge and microwave in it's place.
    .
That could be easily restored to the original configuration. Otherwise, getting the factory built in could also be done, assuming you have the 70 inch plus size sleeper. The cabinets aren't as easy to modify with the doors and latches.
