2011 international transtar with no def?

    i bought an international transtar year 2011 but the mechanic told me it doesn't bring def. the truck was first sold in 2010. I am planning on putting it to work in the Long Beach port in California. Do I need the def?

    I heard the Maxxforce was the best engine on the road today...should be solid....

    But if the truck is carb compliant you can run CA legally...def or not.

    It'll have a seperate tank for DEF with a blue cap (if it has DEF which I doubt), which if I recall correctly came out mid 2014 on the maxxforce.
