Does your cruise control work ? When i got my 2011 cascadia, both my cruize control and engine brake didnt work because the clutch pedal sensor was bad. Computer thought clutch was engaged so it disabled cruze control and jake brake.

it's definitely electronic problem not sure if that has a fuse or not that's an easy fix also could be in a pedal relay switch ... put your foot under the pedal itself and lift it up if that don't work look at the actual switch and make sure it's working if your cruise isn't working also it's most likely in brake or clutch switch .... also the engine brake switch on the steering wheel may be defective or stuck try pressing it hard a few times ... that's about all I can think of that's easy and doesn't require hooking it up to computer .... can be a problem with a bare wire somewhere or a bad connection but those can be tough to spot ..... the good news is that even if you have to take it to freightliner should be a easy and cheap fix .... midway in Monroeville ohio if you're ever through there is good. I bought mine in 2013 and had 140000 miles on it and after it hit the 250000 miles haven't had many problems with it especially when you compare it to the nightmares I have heard about the Cummings and pacar motors if you have the dd15 the biggest thing is to try to run around 70 and don't idle and try to avoid areas under 10 degrees and I don't have issues with the Def. ..... I live in Ohio and I take a powder anytime they are calling for temps under 15 it messes with everything in the Def system the plastic fittings start leaking coolant very slowly but surely leaking

You just bought it and you didn't check this out?

Just bring it to the dealer and have them check it out.

that can also hinder your reaeration, I have a 2012 Cascadia DD15, mine showed the clutch was engauged
and they couldn't initiate the regen without changing out the clutch switch, cruse, and jakes have worked great ever since, as well as the regen

take your left toe foot and lift up on the clutch pedal while driving. i had a 13 freightliner that did the same.
