2012 KW T660 Operating Temperature

    My fan kicks on and runs steady for a long time and then will kick off and come back on - does this empty or loaded. Temperature runs 220. Antifreeze is full. No leaks. Does this seem normal for an operating temp and fan?

    No, my cummins holds around 175ish. When it hits around 210 it kicks the fan on and brings it back down. If yours is not maintaining a decent temp it could be the Thermo or the Rad.

    Normally a bad thermostat will stick open and you won't generate much heat, but since I've been wrong before I see no reason to believe this

    In the winter you are correct, in the summer it would not let it cool down. :) It could also be sticking closed! Seen this happen but rare.

    Nope doesn't seem normal.
    Thermostat could be sticking or water pump issue. Not circulating .
    I'd change your stats first thou,try that.

    Seems a little high. Nothing blocking the rad? Nothing caught between the various coolers in front of the rad?

    My 08 is doing the same thing and it needs a new radiator. Bulk powder clogged it up and settled in the coils

    Hows the feedback on a 2012 cummins.good or bad.Thinking of buying a 2013 t660 but hearing a lot of crap about cumminns lately.Any suggestions?? Thank you sorry if its a off forum question.
