Started leaking coolant towards front of motor about a week ago (DD15). I've been adding a bottle every day or day and a half.
Hard to tell where its from because it gets blown all over the ####in motor. But here are some clues.
1. I have a manual fan switch, the coolant seems to leak less when I run the fan full time
So I suppose the leak only happens when a certain amount of pressure builds up somewhere.
2. When the coolant reservoir is fully topped off, things seem to be running smoothly. Then, after about a day of driving I will hear belts starting to squeak very faintly and that's how i know I'm leaking coolant. Then, if i dont top off coolant the squeaking quickly becomes louder and i will get the flashing warning lights within 10-20 minutes. I top off coolant and the squeaking goes away all together until another day of driving or so. If I keep the coolant topped off before I hear squeaking it does not leak very much at all.
In other words, it seems to leak considerably slower while the reservoir is fully topped off. Not sure why there is that correlation but that's what it seems happens.
Going to have my guy look at it in the next week but curious to hear any ideas or other clues to look for.
