2013 Cascadia Power Steering Pump or Steering Gear Box

    I was making a right turn and in the middle of the turn my steering wheel would not moved. How can I tell if it is the power steering pump or steering gear box? 2013 Freightliner Cascadia!

    I thought there was a recall on some models, ck 1st then pull P/S filter out and change oil, then you will have to ck pressure that pump is putting out, and if its enough pressure pull the steering off to the rebuilder?

    If it's grinding like a coffee grinder it's the gearbox.

    I bet the farm your steering pump for hydraulics either high side or low side is bad.

    I am not a mechanic. I just either beat the truck with a sledge or burn it and get a replacement.
