2013 D13 spn 5394 fmi17 codes

im gonna follow suit and look into it.. this truck is driving me crazy with all this check engine/derate crap

 

Did you bypass the SCR filter by using the 90 degree elbow and cutting the flange off and welding the flange from the flext tube or did you run exhaust through SCR filter and if so did you drill holes in the SCR filter?

 

I bypassed. I am gonna sell that mixxing box. It always worked good.

 

I finished everything and at first i didnt have any codes. when i got back in the truck to move it out of shop and started it that #### 4094 fmi 1 code came back. Now instead of 5mph derate i have SCR Performance evaluation continue driving, 5mph limit temporarily removed. Will this go away. I wanted to leave early in the morning before OTR opened to ask for help. I took it on about a 5 mile test drive and seamed fine just curious if you knew.

 

Disconnect the batteries and reset the computer see if the code come back

 

All you have to do is turn the key to position 1...dont start the truck....hold the fuel pedal to the floor for about 30 seconds and the codes will clear.

 

i tried the fuel pedal procedure and that didnt work. I will try the batteries this morning. OTR said since i cannot do a parked regen i will have to have it hooked to a computer to do a forced regen.

 

Why are you trying to do a regen if the dpf and scr are deleted? Its not gonna do nothing but burn your truck down.

 

OTR said it's required to get rid of the 4094 code. I can also drive the truck until it asks for a parked regen then go through the process and the code will clear.
