Hi bro Im having the same problem you descriped what was causing this problem and how did you fix it ?
I've been having the 4094 FMI 18 code while driving through Wyoming. The first time it cleared itself, the next 2 times it asked for a parked regen and it cleared, and this last time it cleared itself. It seems like about an hour of letting it regen clears it, or an hour of driving. I'm wondering if the DEF is freezing and plugging things up, or if I've got a sensor that just hates Laramie or something. I do plan on having the SCR and DPF ultrasonically cleaned. The ACM, pump, DEF doser, 7th injector, EGR cooler are all under a year old.
872k. I bought it at 740k, so have no idea what was done to it before then. When they replaced the EGR cooler and the rest of the stuff last year, they said the DPF filter looked fine. I figure it's about time to get it done if the last owner was good about 300k intervals. 2012 D16
Yeah, hopefully the cleaning will help it a bit. At the very least it should help the filter. What does the SCR look like? It should be like a disc or cylinder at the inlet to the DPF filter, right? Does anyone happen to have a part number?
Is it the entire box after the filter? https://www.amazon.com/Volvo-Select...TF8&qid=1549777266&sr=8-10&keywords=volvo+scr Will the D13 SCR work with a D16 engine? Am I better off buying a tool to reset the derate since it happens so intermittently? At least until it starts to happen every 200 miles. https://www.amazon.com/OTR-Performa...UTF8&qid=1549777600&sr=8-3&keywords=volvo+scr
