2013 DD15 - SPN000558 AP Low Idle SW 04 and 05

Hey Gang,
Looking for anyone familiar with this situation, and it's a long shot. Driver is broke down, truck will idle, but no accelerator, truck won't move. Never got a red stop engine light. Tried the bypass switch, nothing.
New code showed up when this breakdown happened, Engine 000 SPN000558 AP LOW IDLE SW 05. eventually got one with an SW 04 also.

Roadside is on the way, but curious if anyone has ever come across this code or had an engine derate like this without getting the red stop engine light.

Appreciate any insight you got.

Oh, and prior to this we did have random DEF gauge false readings telling us the DEF was empty. We know that was a false reading. that has been happening on and off for several weeks. Could be related, but driver did not get the low def reading before this breakdown, so we're skeptical.

 

Update - situation resolved, quickly fixed by local roadside for about $300. Unfortunately had to pay the bonus for calling for roadside help, but he fixed us up and got us back on the road.

Turns out it was an idle switch or low idle sensor switch or something under the accelerator pedal. Something got loose. #### if that wasn't a freak breakdown, but scares the begeezuz out of ya when you're rollin just fine and all of a sudden no accelerator with no stop engine warning. And I was mistaken, driver did get a yellow check engine light, but no derate.
