2013 Freightliner Cascadia making strange noise.

    Got a new(5500mi) 2013 Freightliner Cascadia and it makes a noise when accelerating and with the engine break on it gets a little louder and ideals just fine. Best way to describe it is it almost sounds like a motorcycle in the distance. No dash lights come on and truck is still running great just making the noise. Sounds almost like its coming out of the exhaust. Any suggestions? Before I take it into Freightliner.

    could b the turbo sneezing thru the waste gates, the 12.7 and the new dd15 once in a awhile would do this most of the time on a pull.

    Hi have 2013 cascadia only check engine light flashes 50 times just bought it from dealer. Any ideas plz help

    what engine are you running? I find it hard to believe a 2013 Cascadia with only 5500 miles. Has the cluster been replaced, they can't change the mileage on the ICUs if that's the case. You should be able to see the engine mileage by cycling the settings through the ICU till you get to engine mileage.

    Heat shield right side over turbo bend it at the seam with a screwdriver took care of my motorcycle noise.Good luck.
