Newbie here. We have a 2013 Int. 4300, automatic. When on a job site, we put in neutral, turn on the PTO, set the cruise to the desired RPMs. We've done this for years. Lately, the cruise control will randomly kick off, causing our PTO to stop, causing our job to come to a halt. We reset it and it may run for the remainder of the day, or maybe it cuts out an hour later. We cannot pinpoint any circumstances that cause this to happen. One mechanic suggested it could be a flakey brake switch (makes the CPU think someone touched the brake). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you can hit resume and it goes back to your set rpm, it could be the brake switch. Some brake switches will start to glitch out and cause a code. If you have to hit ON first and then reset, it is cruise getting cancelled, chances are from a grounded wire between the switches and body controller.
