2013 international prostar

    so i drive a 2013 international prostar it blows air somewhat on the normal a/c setting but as we all know that setting isnt nearly as cold as the "max" setting. when i switch it over to the max setting it wont blow at all if not very little. i know of the cabin air filter under the hood and the one in the sleeper but is there any other filters that might be causing me to have no air flow on the max setting thanks!

    Just the filters you mentioned. All "max" does is recirculate the air, nothing different with blower motor speed. Replace the cab filter on the firewall and if the air flow does not improve you must have mode door issue.

    Yeah I would agree either filter problem or actuator problem.

    Climb up on the passenger steer tire and look down into the vent below the windshield. Have somebody else change your setting to max and see if that flap opens down inside there.

    If it opens then pull out your can filter and inspect.

    If it don't move just remove the actuator on the right side (if looking at it, left side if inside the cab) of housing. Try turning the flap by hand by turning the rod the actuator slides onto. Change the settings on the controls and see if actuator turns. Also check for cracks on the actuator sleeve that goes over the rod for the flap. Overtime these crack and will not longer turn the rod and just spin instead of turning the rod for the flap.
