This is all great info! I've actually watched a lot of Rawze on YouTube so I'm familiar with the great work he does! We're gonna follow his guide on cleaning and clean the EGR system today!

So a bit of transparency here, I've been relaying this information in first person when in reality, I'm not the actual driver. Other than driving it, I've full experience with this truck and engine as far as I've mentioned, however I got a few things wrong that I clarified by talking to my father (O/o of this truck).

The 35 mph figure is completely wrong, he states it regularly drops down to 15 up these hills. He's been a truck driver for 15+ years and this is the first truck he's experienced with power this weak.

I apologise for the misinformation/misrepresentation but I'm trying to keep this information as updated and accurate as possible. Every other bit has been accurate however.

How would one check the fuel pump other than pressure PSI/Consistency testing, or complete disassembly.

I haven't read anything about the carbon packing. Is there resources you could provide that shows any information about this or how to check for it?

We've seen a lot of threads about fuel actuators acting up, but has also seen that, unless you have a spare, buying a new one to test is exxpennsivvee. Any ideas? Thanks!

Rawze has a video on Ytube about fuel actuators. There is no test from Cummins to tell if they are bad.
If you have the ceramic 3 piston pump get the old style 2 piston pump and install it. A fuel pump that shatters will send metal through the whole engine. But if you took your filters apart you would see metal.

You have completely different fuel system on 2250. There is no fuel actuators like Rawze video 871.

pushbroom, TheOgre and spsauerland Thank this.

If you can drive the truck with Insite hooked up monitor the user fueling state. That will show if the engine is being derated & why. Calibration updates can sometimes help.

    spsauerland Thanks this.

    theORGRE,
    Did you resolve the problem?
    Egr cleaning or fuel pump?
I also have random power loss and recovery for 2years without any code. And i did so many worka on it in vain and i am considering selling it very seriuosly.

    Please update your thread, thanks
