:biggrin_25524:getting a new 670 d13 with 435hp and 355 rears and 10 speed in 3 weeks. wondering how bad mpg will be during the first couple of months? anybody have a 2012 or so and keep real accurate fuel info? thank you very much

just sold my 2010 780 d13 with 485hp and the ishift. an awesome truck except for all its quirks and air leaks(hoses) and my lifetime mpg with it was 6.89 pulling 70,000 - 75,000 pounds from milwaukee,wi to west coast and back. always top speed legal speed in each state. gonna really try harder to slow it down in the new truck. no more 75 mph for me. keepin it below 62ish would be great but 65 would help alot on the fuel cost.

10 speed 670 vs ishift of my old 2010 780 my per gallon guess?

    thank you and drive safe

Curious as to why, have been told I-shift was #### near bullet proof, other issues, or this is just what the truck came equipped with?

Reason I'm asking is I am looking at new volvo's and would spec I-shift if I go that route, any insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks Stan

    heck ya, stan.
    i-shift all the way.

my truck had constant air leaks, one fixed two more would start. wasted too much money on bad air lines and having to worry about the weigh scales with leaks. ive never seen a truck(volvo) where 50% of the trucks are sitting on smushed airbags when not running. 3 friends with volvos, same problems! major air line problems that never end. also, a few little quirks. other than that, loved the truck. people say volvos dont pull: this was my first and it pulled harder than 9 outta 10 trucks. i ran mountains with little effort even close to max weight.
no i-shift on new truck because i got a great price and no crazy deal if i got i-shift again. justed picked up my new 670 this morning and already miss the auto after 30 miles.
good luck. let us know what you get/do!

Good luck with the new one GG, as far as what I'm doing it has come down to the Volvo 630 D11 w/ I-shift OR my International dealer just threw a deal at me on a Prostar+ with MF 11 AND I would be getting the new Allison TC-10 on a pilot program.

I know about buying something unproven but I really like what that TC-10 has to offer.
