So I have a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia and since day 1 there has been an annoying clunking sound in the front end. It's most apparent when fully loaded and when braking at slow speeds like in traffic or in town. No one can figure it out... Anyone else experienced this? What is it and who can fix it? Freightliner has been no help!!!!

Does it happen all the time or just ever once in awhile. Do you have your fifth wheel all the way forward or back?

Yeah, sounds/feels a lot like a loose shock mount ,but its intermittent. Not sure what it is either.

The airbrakes have a stutter sometimes. Realese and the reapply usually fixes it

You are assuming it's not a Cummins, you know.

To the OP, does it pull to one side when it makes the sound? Slack adjusters don't always work right, especially on the front brakes. Mine would make the clunking even sitting still and repeated application seems to have cured it.

All the time but seems worse when loaded and in town delivering or in stop and go traffic. Fifth wheel is all the way back as I am an enclosed car hauler with the bubble on front. Has to be all the way back to not pinch.

Have tried releasing and reapplying. Doesn't make a difference it still clunks.

Sounds like you may have a problem with the shocks or the air pressure regulator for the brakes. I would take her in asap.
