When faults are present they need to be corrected and I am sure the Missoula dealer did that but after the Company paid the repair bill & I got down the road 700-800 mi that's when the idiot lights started flashing again and this Big Blue Turd started having problems again.
GM said to unplug the Speed Sensor and bring it on to the yard. Let me tell you, after unplugging the speed sensor this Big Blue Turd turned into a NASCAR Volvo! I cant begin to tell you how fast I was going, hell I started passing everyone so I got out of the peddle cause I don't need anymore speeding tickets, learned my lesson in my personal vehicle. When you unplug the speed sensor the cruise, speedometer, exhaust brake, mileage odometer all stops working including the Qualcom so I went on paper logs. Gosh I hated going back to paper logs! But here lately the Iowa DOT climbed up into my truck and said lets have a look at your Logs Boy! Then he sent them to his e-mail address and even took pictures with his I Phone.

Made me sit at the weight station New Years Eve cause of the Quailcom, well there wasn't a signal the entire time I was in Denver unloading and picking up my next load. Real strange, cause the Quailcom is almost idiot proof, knock on wood..

Bottom Line is replacing parts till we get the correct part replaced is very expensive and is not true diagnostic testing., that's why the Dealership in Missoula was given a laptop computers and all of his educational tools. One Tech said if they can't figure it out on their own that they call Volvo.
To me it sounds like Volvo knew about this problem a long time ago and they don't have a solution to fix the problem and owners are just hung out to dry until somebody figures out what to do.

Just an opinion but I think it all boils down to is the computer is sending false alerts and the Mass Air Sensor on the passenger side of the engine, well I don't know what to tell you about that piece of work. Maybe the alerts are legit.

My truck's regen light started blinking this morning in Irving on George Bush when I was headed back to the Yard in Fort Worth. Did I pull over ? No, I waited until I got to the yard 35 mins away and then I started a manual regen once I got it in the yard and left it with the head mechanic in front of one of the big bay service doors.

If the regen light comes on when I'm parked at a truck stop I start a manual regen, no problem cause I realize if I don't I will have problems later in the day with it. It's the first thing I do, check if the truck wants to regen just by idling down the engine and stepping on the clutch, I do that before a PTI or before I login & go from Sleeper Berth to On Duty.

I sincerely hope like hell when the truck is repaired late Friday evening and I leave headed to Wash. State that all is good and I don't experience issues that I have in the past. This has been a trial & error experience for all of us and I am leaning more and more about it everyday and checking if the truck needs to regen before I login to my Quailcom, it's just a extra step I've added to my daily routien cause driving off and getting 20-30 maybe 100 miles down the road and pulling over at an exit ramp or wherever to regen the system really sucks when I could of stayed at the Pilot and played on the internet for 40 or how ever many minutes it decides to take to do it's regen thing.

I drive across 48 states in a 2014 Volvo 780, the truck was under warranty until this last run when I just passed Missoula, Montana and the turbo went out and loss of power was experienced. I had the truck towed to the Volvo dealer in Missoula, Montana
where they replaced the turbo & lots of other parts. They claim the turbo locked up and it dumped 3.5 gallons of oil into the DPF filter and they had to put the canister in a over and burn all that oil out of the DPF canister and replace the filter and all of the sensors.

The truck was out of warranty. The mileage was just over the warranty period, 250511.0 Ok 511 miles over the warranty period and the bill came to $ 10,600.45 WOW! The company could have bought a extended warranty that would of covered this but all of that is hindsight now. You wouldn't think you would need a extended warranty on a new truck that costs as much as these babies do.

I get 700 miles down road and it wants to Regenerate, SCR Performance is Low will start Derate in 180 mins. so I pull over at a truck stop and manually put the truck into Regen. I Regen for 1 hour and everything goes back to normal. 50 miles later truck wants to Regen again. Geberal Manager where I work tells me to remove the SPEED SENSOR on the top/back of the transmission and bring it to the yard as soon as I can.

Mechanics at my Company look at the truck and can not diagnose the issue. Take it to the VOLVO DEALER in Fort Worth where they purchased it and they keep it a week and they can not diagnose the problem. All of the Sensors in the DFP have been changed 2 maybe 3 times now and nobody can figure out what is going on. These are CERTIFIED VOLVO TECHS NOW ?????

I am driving it and I am in Flordia and it wants to REGEN every 300 to 400 miles ???? I'm going crazy cause I cant get anywhere, the truck slows down, speeds up, slows down and I cant drive my 650 miles a day... I am frustrated and want to siphon the fuel tank and light a match and claim it caught on fire by itself cause this truck wont perform like it used too.

Somebody needs to back to school or maybe the it caught on fire theory, naw........

Anybody got a suggestion ?

What was the problem?

They need to replace the muffler, oil will stuff it and your NOX sensor will not see what it expects, and ECU will increase/ decrease dosing to compensate, when desired result is not achieved guess what? Fault light and de-rating.
