Trying to remove the driver side headlight, there are 3 bolts/nuts, every nut i try to remove the bolt just turns with the nut. the shop wants to cut the nut&bolt but can a new bolt be installed?

long story short, my old truck crashed and i kept my custom headlights, i want them on the new truck but i would like to keep the stock ones for backup. so i dont want them cut if it makes the headlights useless.

    They are studs, not bolts.

The nuts are probably rusted or seized onto the studs.

You can try to use a Dremel tool or small die grinder and grind the nuts off and then remove the studs and epoxy them back into the plastic headlight housing.

Thanks for the clarification, so they cut the studs and nuts off, I'm guessing I should just get new studs and epoxy the new studs on?

I just want to keep them as backups for if / when my customs blow out

You can get new studs or when your customs blow out, just transfer the studs from those and reuse them.
