Have a 2015 FL Cascadia (EVO), since June, Always run BC to Alberta, DD15 with 500HP, As you all know recently started getting cold in AB to -24 C. Well I have a concern about its body integrity? During the summer months ran really nice and quite in the cab, no wind noise, no matter what kinda weather outside. Since last week i noticed when i drive in below -10 C and colder and only over 100 kmph it has a sqeaking and crackling noise from over the front roof. It is like you have a tarp over your head and you hear the rain falling on it. At night when i leave leave AB this problem starts as it is -24 C and on the same trip when i reach Vancouver and it is in the +7 C mark, there is no noise. It probably has something to do higher windchill at over 100 Kmph? Does anyone else has noticed this if so please advice what can be done. Thxz in advance.

Sounds like something is icing up and smacking. Cascadias used to be known for this before they moved the cb antennas inside the roof. Just a thought.

A lot of trucks will make cracking ,popping sounds as the interior warms up or cools down due to growing and shrinking .. Another issue with big temp changes is sometimes under the plastic frost forms and drips a bit of water when you hit warmer climates .. Doors that seal great will often leak air as the temps drop to extremes .. You sure the rain sound isn't road salt gravel sand mixture ??

The sound for sure is coming from overhead, and you may be right, because of the temp difference the seals contract and expand. But this sound starts just over at 100 kph and the wind pushing against the fibreglass outer body.

Had a windshield rubber gasket make a racket on my 09 Cascadia I had to get it reglued But mine did after running through rain with a good side wind it would flutter and make the weirdest noise.. I must've pulled over a dozen times to try and find out what it was .. Only thing I can think of is look at everything and see if something is loose .. Shops probably won't care you will most likely find it first
