I need help with my 2015 Kenworth T680 Paccar. It keeps popping fault codes after being diagnosed multiple times by not only the dealer but other Mechanic shops. I have replaced the Intake EGR sensor. I have repaired a tiny hole in the Charge Air Cooler. These are the codes:

SPN-412 0 Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation 1 Temperature
SPN-1787 11 Engine Torque Limit Request - Maximum Continuous
Is anyone familiar with these codes?????????????????????????

Guessing Cummins engine? Most of the time these hard to find and diagnose issues end up turning out to be wiring issues. With a new sensor installed surely that is most likely not the issue. If you have access, hook up Insite and monitor egr temp after a cold soak to match ambient. Sometimes a wiggle test of the harness while monitoring temperature is a quick way to hit the bad spot. Pull test the wires at the sensor for being broken inside the insulation. Pin drag the pins of the connector to the sensor to ensure a snug fit. You only have 3 components in the system, ECM, sensor and wiring. The last being the most likely cause to your troubles. Also follow the engine harness from the ecm to the sensor looking for rubs or bare wires from vibrations.

I am guessing MX-13... EGR temp is too high. First thing would be to clean soot out of air management sensors, the sensing tubes, and EGR venturi pipe. Guessing boost sensor and venturi tube drilled orfices are plugged. Replace soot packed sensors and clean tubes with carb cleaner. No cleaner on sensors. If these all check good, probably looking @ sticky EGR valve or soot plugged EGR cooler. These issues are much easier to sort out with Davie and session reports.

1787 is a derate engine protection code. CCV modules had issues and may have extended coverage. You need to get hook ups or have someone dig deeper.

    You need Davie.
    Check with your dealer.
    Older CCV modules had issues.
    Solution is replacement.
How long have you been driving with that fault code?

No engine codes with SPN 1786.

Is this for an engine light? You need to get hook ups done
