Is the rad and air to air clogged with debris by any chance, rad itself on its last days...If your driveing it you should have some basic understanding of it...
-
All you can fix yourself is cleaning the fins on the radiator. Either the coolant isn’t circulating or isn’t getting cooled off during it’s passage through the radiator.
-
Radiator is clean

If the radiator fan is working and the radiator is clean then you have a circulation issue. I don’t know much about trucks but in cars if the thermostat isnt opening the engine will overheat because the coolant never makes it to the radiator. Is there someway to check if the radiator is hot while you are having your overheating issue in the engine? If the radiator is cool while the engine is overheating the thermostat is likely at fault. The water pump might have issues too.

Did you see the stat rateing you put in,Pull it and test it...System clogged somewhere, all the hoses get hot??
-
Radiator temperature and hose are same I have some faults on diagnostic
-
Take it to a shop. Could be water pump, could be head gasket. All we can do is guess.
-
Best thing for you to do is get it properly diagnosed.
But these things will over pressurize the cooling system.
Cracked egr cooler
Bad air compressor head gasket
Injector cups
Good luckQUALITYTRUCK and usaexpress Thank this.
