Oxbow Thanks this.

A shop will know what this means?
-
Any shop? Doubt it.
A good one will know what to do without asking or know where to go to find the service information to work on it. -
Disengagement is the issue. -
I'm trying to avoid a $3000 clutch job when the old one isn't slipping at all....
-
Your issue is that the clutch is not releasing. It has nothing to do with the clutch slipping. Eventually it will get to the point where it will be impossible to even get it in gear from drag.
Have a shop check the adjustment
, either it’s in spec or it’s not. My advice, save your money and replace it when it gets to the point you don’t trust it. Sure sounds like you’re allready there to me. -
I only just learned what it was in this thread.
Most likely replace in January.
I'll have a shop look at it when I find one that isn't in a truck stop. ThanksGoodysnap Thanks this. -
My local mechanic told me I can only do a solo clutch because I have a hydraulic clutch.
He said that interference between that and the adjustment nut will not allow adjustment once installed?
Also is $2800-3600usd a good price for a full clutch job? -
Solo is often recommended as it can be hard to tell when adjustments are needed.
