2016 579 clutch will not fully disengage/drags

    It's a tad high. Imo. But if your near the 2800 that's ok.

    That's the range he gave me with pilot bearing and resurfacing, should I shop around for a better price then?

    You could. The rear main seal too? I had a cheap shop that screwed up the rear main seal, I had to pay another 1800 to get the trans dropped/ clutch removed and redo it. If the guy is good. A few hundred more isn't huge in my mind. Driving 1000 miles then having a seal give that was just replaced, is worse.

    Yes, I asked for pilot bearing and rear main, but he said a paccar might not need one?

    Idk. I have a cascadia 14, I had an 04 international. They both needed that stuff plus the little clutch brake. They were both 10 speed Eaton transmissions. Plus fly wheel resurface.


    Plus check engine mounts. Since all the stuff is down at that point

    So my clutch is back to working fine again. I am guessing this was because it over adjusted, and it wore out quicker because it's too tight? I'm sure it will go overtightened again, but it's nice to kick the $3000 can down the road LOL
