    Hi all,

First time poster here. In short, I'm looking to test some cabling for both a 2016 and 2019 Peterbilt. The cable hooks into the diags port, and I need to verify the J1939 data is coming through (RPMs, ODO, etc.). There will be nothing fed into the port, just simply attempting to do a reading, similar to a dongle that hooks to the deutsche connector. If anyone is in Southern California and is willing to meet up for a few hours, we can work out a deal, happy to pay for your time.

Not sure if there’s a difference on 2019 579,s but it took a different cord on my elog on my 2019 than they used on 2018 models .. I assume something is different in the data port

I just came across a thing about that, apparently there's a slight difference in the pin size to accommodate a higher transfer speed.

2016 or so and up will have a green connector to signify 500k baud rate. It is also keyed different but same pins.
Green plugs on Paccar products with Paccar engines have 2 sets of datalinks swapped and require a different adapter.
