SOLVED. Pulled the hood down from the handle in the middle of the hood (you will need to pull it HARD) once it was open, I sprayed PB blaster on the bad shock and pushed it down. It’ll take a little bit of pushing to get it all the way down. This is just a temporary solution to get moving. The shock will need to be replaced. Good morning. Woke up this morning and did my PTI, I went to close the hood and she won’t close, tried to close it and it won’t close either! Now it’s stuck open about a foot and half and will only let me open it another half foot. Any advice would be appreciated.
Is there a gas strut that supports the hood? I’ve seen them seize up. Just remove a bolt to take it off.
This was exactly the problem. It was seized to oblivion lol. I had to pull it open from the handle in the middle of the hood and sprayed some PB Blaster on the shock and that did it. I can at least get moving now and will fix on the weekend. Thanks for the reply.
