Good catch. I've been biting my tongue (thumbs?) on this, hoping someone would jump in.
Impedance is resistance to A.C. at a given frequency. An ohmmeter uses a battery to measure D.C. resistance. The only thing an ohmmeter will tell you is continuity; a very good one will show you how many fractions of an ohm of D.C. resistance from one end to the other, or hot to shield in a shorted coax.
An antenna analyzer or network analyzer is needed to show imedance. One can try working backwards from SWR, but 25 ohms will show the same SWR as will 100 ohms (assuming a 50 ohm source.)
Duzzat help?

Are all those mounts passenger mirror mounts. My mount is already showing rust!
Bob's CB shop sold me mostly garbage. The only thing good was the antenna and coax. But what would I do with a 7ft firestik mounted above the passenger door? I have other antenna I could use though. -
Mine is showing no rust at all. Pics?

Oh yeah, and Walcott were overpriced, and again, the customer interaction left something to be desired. There is a shop off, 80, I think in the hook, a guy in there, real nice fixed my broken starlight in my hacked 979 from 222 CB shop. He gave me a tune by opening the receive pot seemly all the way. That was the only radio I made a ssb contact on. Haven't made a ssb contact on this 959 yet, tuned by a supposedly superior tech.
I'll try Q5, after that. I'll just move to HAM and forget about 10 mile barefoot CB contacts. I like radio as a hobby, and talking to just one decent person ever few months is like finding gold.
But yeah, there's the picture of whatever that brown crap is on the mount.Attached Files:

He said he was going to check my coax, ugh I thought, because it's old.
He said it was still good. A giant surprise. He easily could have said it was bad and made a little more off me. I'll go backslim6596 Thanks this. -

So I got back to Bob's CB and showed them the broken mount, rusted perch and they credited and replaced.
I took the Firestik down and went with a spot mirror mount with my Browning/Tram 78 and a new stock whip to get swrs right. Obviously not mounted on the passenger side but the load and antenna are up higher, not flopping in the wind, and looks much better with no ridiculous lean angle.
I shouldn't be talking to the ditch or my trailer either considering radiation pattern of ground plane?
wolverine11 and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
