    Hell when I was doing my road test it was mandatory to open the hood and check all fluids, before the driving started. Failure to do so was a fail.

    Yup, same here. It wasn't even discussed with new hires. We'd see if they did it on their own without having to be prompted. You could just about tell by the way a guy did his pre trip if he had any real experience.
    My favorite was always the ones that would bump their steering axle tires, SMH.

    Its simple at my place, do it daily, or you get your walking papers.
