A little back story I can into work one morning and had to replace the starter not a big deal. Truck started fine after the repair and the driver went on his way. He go to there he was loading and turned his truck off it would not start back up it would crank just not fire up. The driver used I good amount of starting fluid agents me telling him not to. When I got to the truck I checked the fuel filters to make sure they were full and they were. I turned the key on and the lift pump would not run. So we had it towed back to the shop. I pulled it in and hooked the laptop to it. Fun starts here. It keeps telling me Communication with the ecm can not be established or lost connection. I unplug the plug from the ecm and found oil in the plug. I up plugged the injector harness and also found oil. I also un plugged the oil pressure sensor and found oil. So I replaced the sensor and the injector harness. Cleaned all my connectors the best I could and still get the same message. So I took the truck out of the equation I plugged into the 3 pin Deutsch plug and still couldn’t connect to the ECM. At this point I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I have also check power and ground it’s all there. What am I missing

Double check your ECM battery power supply at ECM pins 1, 25, 26, 27 and 28. Double check your ECM grounds at 49, 50, 51, 52 and 73. Double check for ignition power in when key is on at pin 5.
