I will say this: when I was shopping for a truck, I was disgusted by the Schneider glider inventory.

They were high priced (Det S60) but had been ragged on to no end.

Some of the 2013--2014 looked like they had been to a war zone, and Schneider wanted $40K+

The Schneider gliders were built in 2014. Yes Clark built those engines they are Detroit certified. But far as I've heard Schneider changed the oil every 50,000 miles on those trucks for cost savings. So may need a rebuild?

It's like the cheapest rebuild period. The fatal flaw seems to be when people don't install a new bull gear.
The guy that wrenches on my truck does lots of motor work, including in frames, and he swears by the 60.
He said you could in frame it indefinitely, just get a new crank every 2 million miles.

The n14 is very comparable in cost for parts. And just as simple to work on. Well almost as simple.

As far as the dyno, blow by, and all the other tests, drop the pan, blah, blah............. there's a thread on here someplace some dude did all that, dropped like FIVE GRAND, had the this motor inspected by everyone except God Almighty. Got everyone's rubber stamp, and it blew the head gasket ( Internally, coolant in the engine ) when he was going to pick up his first load.

    Just sayin...............

That doesn't surprise me. That'll probably be my next truck. Should've been my first. Lol. Thanks for the info!

Whatever became of all the motors / trucks that were gliders that had engines remanned with off shore bearings?

There's a thread on here about that too. Bunch of those engines, the mains literally melted at like 100,000.
