2016 Volvo spn 792 fmi 1 fmi 2 fmi 7 fmi 10 (abs issue)

    I have the following codes on my 2016 Volvo vnl730, it’s for rear right abs sensor. codes are

    DA Right WSS Excessive Air Gap
    DA Right WSS Open or Shorted
    DA Right WSS Wheel End
    DA Right WSS Loss of Sensor Signal

    I replaced the sensor and cleaned the abs ring and nothing has changed. Which part of wiring should I start tearing apart? Any common spots? I did a quick visual and didn’t find anything unusual.

    If there's a bunch of WSS faults all for the same position and it's changing, it would definitely suggest wheel/adjustment concerns. None of those faults suggest open/short and are related to the signal. It "could" be wiring and should look at the extension harness for loose/spread pins partial connections. Per SAE the FMI 1,2,7,10 are all signal related and could be low air in tire, wrong tone ring, wheel bearing, wire routing issue (1- Low amplitude/Air Gap, 2- Wrong Tire/Different Tone Ring Sizes, 7- Tone Ring/Signal Drop, 10- Temp Loss of Speed/Signal Drop Out). Even a couple missing teeth on the tone ring, or if it was really pitted/damaged.
