2016 western star 5700XE parking brake issue

I've only had this truck almost month and so far still only 9106 miles but for some reason the truck will not register the parking brake application. Came about randomly a few days ago the park brake light stopped coming on when I pulled the brake, I can't access the park menu, driving lights won't shut off, engine on or off when I open the door the brakes released alarm goes off. The parking brakes air system does work perfectly it holds the truck I even tested by pulling against both tractor and trailer spring brakes to be sure and both held truck so it's got to be a sensor or electrical. I am not familiar with this new of a truck and have had very little time to look into an issue that dosen't compromise the drivabillity of the vehicle. Has anyone had any similar issues, like I said it's a 2016 western star 5700xe Detroit DD15 and 10 speed. It's a great truck and a flipping workhorse but while this has not jeopardized the drivabillity it is getting rather annoying lately as I have been unable to reset my trip logs on the dash DIC to keep a more accurate count of trip leg miles.

 

OK thanks it will be going In for its 12000 service in about a week so I'll just have it done then
