You made me pull out the calculator. One of our drivers lives 62 miles from the farm. He PC's home and back once a week. So 124 miles a week for 50 weeks is over 6,000 miles. Pretty easy to get there, seems to me.

Yep, here's my truck parked in my driveway at home
Then again my driveway is over 50' wide at the widest point and 16' wide at the entrance and over 80' long to the garage. I can actually park truck & trailer in my driveway, however, I don't like parking it here attached with a heavy load on my driveway.

I really lucked out when I bought my truck and trailer 3 years ago.
I walked into a local business that has a full service diesel repair with a huge lot all secured, and asked the manager what they would charge me monthly to drop my trailer.
He said "nothing", just give us a chance to service your truck when needed."
We shook hands and he gave me the gate access code. I have them do all my "B" services and any other little small things that can be done without effecting my warranty with Volvo.
Heck, they even let me use their high pressure washer bay, restroom, etc. I stay out of their way, treat their space with respect and ALWAYS make sure the gate is locked if I drop or hook after hours.CorsairFanboy, kemosabi49, Ruthless and 2 others Thank this. -

Scooter Jones Thanks this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again here. There's absolutely no possible way I'd be where I am today without @Scooter Jones and his mentoring. When the day comes that he gets out of the truck for the final time, I firmly believe that there's a lucrative market for him as an educator in the art and science of running a truck. $2.81 a mile running the I-5 corridor? Enough said.
CorsairFanboy and Vic Firth Thank this. -
I thought I might have "mentored" you to your grave LOL.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!Vic Firth and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
