2018 Coming To An End...A Year In Review

Nope, that's the line for me.

 

Spot freight is a one-off rate. That can, depending on market conditions, fluctuate up or down, unlike contract rates that are usually contracted for up to a year at a time.

PC stands for personal conveyance.

 

Finished up the bulk of my tax returns (S Corp & 1040) over the weekend. At least as far as I could go, the Feds haven't finished up all the updates yet, so I couldn't complete them entirely. However, I pretty much know where I'm at.

Company had a net profit of 20k on 200k revenue. That's after extracting around 75k in payroll, distributions, benefits & a few other benefits. In addition, I paid my insurance and a couple of other line items forward for all of 2019.

I'll have to throw them a few more bones for taxes on the corporate side, but overall, it was a decent year. I ran very easy, when I wanted, how I wanted and had a lot of home time. All that with very few headaches along the way.
