I have a 2018 Thermo King C-600 reefer. It’s making hissing sounds while running. The reefer is running well and has no alarms. It hisses for 1 second, stops hissing for 5 seconds, and the cycle repeats. Eventually it stopped hissing, but then returned after a few minutes. The sound is coming from the passenger side of the reefer, or left side if facing the reefer.

The reefer engine hours are close to 3,000. So the oil change will be due in about a week.

If it’s doing when going between heat and cool or defrost, that’s normal. Otherwise, I’m not too sure unless I were standing there to hear it.

best way to know is have a pressure test performed, its the bare minimum at a TK dealer. granted thats like 120-150 in labor plus the test. dont test them , if your owner op.
