I figured it's better than working for a company. My first few loads.
The company takes 18% plus few $dollars a week for insurance, maintenance and $150 trailer. Still it's not a great deal if have a good credit I could have got the truck for 1500 a week eyc but not possible for now
    1) 720 mile -$1800 -fuel $300
    2) 400 mole-$1000 -fuel $200?
    3)1900 mile-$4000 -fuel $1000?

The time to do your research was before you signed a deal ...

Your time is your single biggest asset and it isn't walk way … if you're going to run a successful business, you need to make sure you're investing to wisely.

Know you company before you sign!

Are you required to keep it with that company? If so, walk away.

What are they offering? Self dispatch, or do they dispatch? If you’re not choosing your own loads. Walk away

Are you working for a predetermined and set dollar amount per mile, less than $2.00 per mile? If so, walk away. (Others will disagree with this)

What are you getting from them? And what do they cover? Base plates, permits, insurance, lumpers paid, tolls paid? It all adds up.

Do you even know what your cost per mile to run the truck is? Mine is .70 cpm to run my truck... and your truck payments are way high...

    Your spinning your wheels dude...
Lets just SAY cost to run your truck is around .80 CPM

That load you did for $4000 at 1900 miles... Here is a breakdown of what you ACTUALLY made

$4000x18%= $720....$4000-$720=$3280 (What you made after their cut)
    $3280/1900 Miles= 1.72 CPM
    1.72-.80= .92 CPM
    1900 Miles x .92= $1748 (Don't forget about fuel)
    $1748-$1000(Fuel Bill)= $748 is what you made on a 1900 mile run...

    1900 mile-$4000 -fuel $1000?
    $400+18% = $3,280 minus fuel $1000=$2,280
