What is the best way to mount my antenna on a 760 Volvo. It seems the mirror mounts are not even metal and have plastic pieces around them so you can't mount to them. Just looking for some suggestions.

You can buy a perch for the kerbside Mirror on the passenger side just screw out one of the factory bolts and screw the perch in place

Dont like perches..To many knock offs out there that are not exact saize req and can easily strip bolt hole..
Also as ant gets wind resistance it can over tighten said perch....
What i would try is one of two things..
1..Do as the same as factory but with your own ant and coax plus some bonding straps...
2...Shape a 4" wide piece of stainless that will follow the back of the cab and out a few inches past the flairings..Use grab rail bolts on cab wall to secure and gnd to cab then attach ant of choice to ends of ss and run coax..tune and your set....The fella who told me about it used it and said it worked REAL well..

There is also a rear mount for the Volvo that fits onto the grab handle behind the cab possibly sold at Walcott radio

That grab rail mount is mounting tooooo Plastic...Also at a lower point with more hassel to run coax..Nope dont buy that either..You would end up running long gnd straps that will not help performance..

If your referring to the grab rail on back cab wall well then for grounding purposes its a great idea but now your blocking to much signal from the front and back..All you get the most outta is side to side...Mental needs to be under ant not along side or on top ect to work best..

This is the best solution for that vehicle that I've found so far. It takes some basic fabrication skills though.

Yeppers rabbi..That was a suggestion you told me that i passed on to the op..Our cascadias have long flairings and all the mount points are plastic except to cab wall..Those are only lite weight 8-10 mm bolts..

On our volvos / freightliner everythin is plastic back there

You overlooked the solid steel mounting bracket that reinforces the fairing on both sides.

Volvo makes 2 body styles. Large and small. It only works on the large body style. Very few companies offer their drivers the large body style. It's mostly owner operators that would have that truck. Here is the large body style for reference. If the sleeper has a pop out vent it's the small body style.
