2020 Volvo 860 murphy bed renovation

Nice setup but I would miss the light and cubbies when the dinette is set up. I sleep on the bottom and just flatten out my cushions and use a memory foam topper on top of the dinette cushions. Not as quick as your seup though and I have to roll up the memory foam and store up top.

The new VNL has a murphy bed build in to the back of the dinette like this. I can't wait to see one in person.

 

Volvo has been using that same dinette for well over 20 years. Every 770 (a friends 2002 770 has it) 780 (my 2006 has it) & 860 had it as standard. 840 it's optional also 840 can have a recliner bed (drivers side can be raised in stages) with a table that pulls out from the back wall.

 

Can't get that on an 860 unfortunately. I love the reclining bed idea. After being in a 780/860 I don't think I can go smaller.
