did you actually go through the tunnel?

i ask because i've been pulling hazmat down 75 to 471 for several years, no issue(s) yet. who got you? state, city..?

fwiw the signs don't say thru HM use 275. they reference the 71 tunnel and that's it. whereas columbus and indy both designate thru HM must use bypass.

 

Coming out of Kentucky, on I75 hazmat is banned on that bridge crossing the River. 71 south warns about the tunnel.

as a newb, I am confused how this happened. From the start I have always been told to trip plan, and have done so every day out there solo. Shouldn't a driver, especially one carrying Hazmat, know what roads they are taking? I was also under the impression, that Hazmat loads had their whole route pre-planned out for them. Just like oversized loads. I guess I was mistaken.

 

You would think that with the bad weather Cincinnati has had this past week that they’d have more interest in keeping the traffic flowing than issuing Hazmat tickets.

 

Driver Bigwind tried to turn around and the best thing you can do now that you have the Tic. is call Road law before you pay any traffic tic. they can tell you on phone how bad it will be by looking how they handled other tic. for the same thing in that city on same hy?

my previous post was referencing HM on southbound i75, i should have been more clear on that.

also, what time of day was this?
