    Hello,

I have a factory Volvo radio head unit in my 2021 Volvo VNL760 and it shuts off after 1h even (I timed it with a stopwatch), doesn’t matter what source it’s on, 1h exactly and it goes off, I have to turn it back on. It’s annoying because the factory Bluetooth works thru it so if I don’t turn it back on I will have no Bluetooth for my phone calls. Any idea what would it be doing it? Is there a chance that it’s somehow programmed this way? I can understand if it did that after engine is shut down but it does this regardless, of course it’s annoying when I’m driving.

I would ask this question on the Facebook group Volvo Truck Masters, there’s a lot of members who are knowledgeable about these trucks and some even own their own shops.

Thank you. I just did that.

I started googling this and some people had this kind of problem in some german cars and I realized that this radio also doesn’t come on and off with ignition, always a manual turn on required. So it seems like it doesn’t see or it’s not programmed to see the ignition signal if it makes any sense… I still don’t know how to tackle this, any ideas would be helpful.

Wow, they did find me a solution.
It was a fuse under the dash missing. SMH.

I don’t have pictures. In the main fusebox (in the dash) there are 2 fusues for the radio (follow the diagram on the cover). Check for / replace both or whichever is burnt / missing.
