Hey all so I just got my new truck a 2022 cascadia 126 with the dd15 gen 5 eaton 10spd about a month ago and already have about 13k on the clock.
The problems:
1- the dpf is getting loaded when I bobtail or pull an empty.(no problems when loaded)
2- excessive def usage(2500-3000 miles per tank) 1325rpm@65mph and overall average 8mpg.
The dpf filter meter will be at halfway after I drive about 75-125 miles BT or DH. Once I'm loaded the meter will go back to 0 after about an hour of driving. So it is actively regening (but while this is happening I am getting horrible(5-6mpg) fuel mileage.
My previous truck, a 2021 cascadia with the dd15(not gen 5) and 40k miles when I got it and over 110k when I traded it back in and NEVER had the dpf filter meter move above 0, no matter how far I bobtailed (and I once had a 400 mile BT, and no issues). I consistently got 4500-5000 miles on a tank of def ,1200rpm@65mph and overall averaged 8.8mpg.
Now I'm not sure if the issue I'm having is due to it being so new or if there is a real problem that I need to have checked out. I know the gen 5 is the ghg21 and has a new smaller one box. But the truck shouldn't be having the dpf filled up halfway after a 100 mile dh. Also I don't see how twisting 100 more rpm could take a whole mpg. The best I have managed B was 10mpg. In my previous truck I would get 11.5-12mpg when bt. Both trucks weigh 19500.
If anyone is having similar issues or knows anything I would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
