I’m 11020 on steer whether I’m empty of 40 ton in the wagon

Going to ag400L/low leaf rears, or basically anything but the pos 8 bag will also save you a good chunk

Bean Jr. and 77fib77 Thank this.

I’ve been told to go the AG400 route instead of the 8 bag. What do you think?

So you think I should go one up on my steer axle as well?

ag400 is 8 bag, ag400L is either the same or similar to Pete low leaf and I believe ag380 is flex air which is even lighter.

you’ll never get enough weight up front to justify a heavier axle with wheel base, that’s why a lot of guys run spreads

Okay, thanks for the info. Currently I had the 380 specced, now I just need to figure out where my fifth wheel height will be. Are you guys running standard grease fifth wheels or that new greaseless plate?

No. Every truck that I've owned that was a set forward axle has run light on the steer axle.

Now I'm debating between the AG380 and AG400L suspension. I'm reading 400L is good for reefer application due to ride height? My issue also is with the 380 is how that C shaped bracket is put in place.

I haven't been this stressed about something since I came out the womb. looool

380 sucks. 400 is the cats meow. It's eight bag but has bigger air inlets and the wishbones don't seem to wear out bushings really bullet proof. Rides very nice. If you are dead set on four bag I would avoid the 380

I was thinking about going the AG400L route, it’s identical to the Pete low air leaf but it sticks to the 4 bag.
From what I know the 400 is the 8 bag, and 400L is the low air leaf 4 bag.

Not every state gives you an allowance for the APU. You would think California would for example .. I personally don’t want one nor would put one on the truck even if I was given one for free. I only idle when it’s hot otherwise I have a nice bunk heater.
