    20,000 miles each? 40,000 total?
    30 days x 24 = 720 hours
    40,000÷720=55.6 mph
    Good luck Chuck

You can't continue to lower the rate and push more and more miles. There is a limit where you can't drive enough miles to make any money. This is a very poor deal. Go to any truck stop, seeing this is in the Canadian section go get one of those small books full of trucking companies with seats to fill. They all advertise more pay than what you have here. Driving for a sub par wage only helps bring down the wage for everyone else. Unless you think (or really are) only worth not even a quarter a mile....

20 cents a mile was top pay in the 60's I don't know where your Canadian Dollar was until about 1989 when it was about .63 US cents to get a canadian dollar.

Anyone who offers you .20 today thinks you are a idiot.

Do you enjoy cooking that you referred to at 18 an hour? Why don't you want to stay and enjoy the good food, people and life?

I am not your opponet. I believe due to inflation all newbies should be offered .75 a mile, average experienced hands should get better than a dollar a mile. All miles run or equivilant in salary for example.

50 mph average, .75 a mile = $37.50 a hour times 70 hours max DOT HOS in 8 days work = $2650 roughly gross. After deductions, taxes etc you will take home at least 1600. Weekly salary.

THAT is the kind of salary that will make Canadian (And American) Trucking great again. None of thos 50 year old worn out .20 a mile to idiots who do not know anything about history of pay in trucking.

That's actually a form of attempted theft from your pocket, kids and future. They should be out of business.

As a side note maybe the United States Congress and or the Crown Sovereign should set mandatory wages for all trucking across the board close to the salary I proposed and raised 4% annually for cost of living raises and so on.

Or why bother flogging as a company slaved? Go get yourself a 18 wheeler and get a 1099 which is USA's way of making sure you pay your taxes on your own.

20k miles a month for each team driver... So 40k miles a month for the truck. That is a lot of miles to drive bud, I'm here to tell you!

I ran as many as 16500 miles in a month as a fairly new driver (complete rookie to otr, but had several years of local experience) and I was never so glad to take time off in my entire life. I've never ran 20k miles in a single month, and I don't want to and sure as hell not for 20 cent a mile.

You will burn yourself out very quickly trying to run those kind of miles as a rookie... And you will probably be so tired at times that you probably shouldnt be driving anything, but sleeping instead.

So if I'm correct 20 cents Canadian is equivalent to about 15 cents American. That sound about right?

Let's say that the DOT is truly interested in my records showing two oil changes in two of the 8 months I worked with one employer.

Both of those months that truck clocked somewhere between 24000 to 31000 Solo. Which is why we do a oil change every 15000 miles. Now the 76 I had taken her into found some difficulty in completing payment with the company card related to shop work, fuel, oil etc. which was a little unusual.

Something about a computer coded restriction against two oil changes on a truck not specifically designated a team truck.

We had a husband wife team 10 miles away, they got qualcommed. To drop the wife off in the 76 away from the shop area. The wife was given instructions to find me in the shop area and act as if I am her beloved team driver Fife who cannot do anything right according to her exacting and over the top demanding verbal questions in a increasing volume with pitch as to why the POS company card isnt working again, am I truly that stupid and should she the lead team driver have to do everything for me all the time again like yesterday and the awful day before that, what is the matter with me this week am I high? We need to be in LA in 40 hours, we lost 5 waiting on that stupid money, where is that #### manager we need to GO #### it.

I turned into a cringing puppy afraid of Little miss muffett. Yes dear I'll get our truck out of here, we lost too much time fo..(I DONT WANNA HEAR IT, PAY THE MAN) my hand was shaking as I handed him the stupid company card account thing again.

Manager and crew bought the performance hook, line and sinker. Typed into the computer screen designating yes that truck is currently in team driving service and wants out like now.

10 miles later at a small casino wife says pull in here. My Husband is waiting for me. You owe us dinner for this problem solving.

31000 miles on a 50 dollar dinner for the two of them for their trouble. Should I have had the chef cater to all 20 dispatchers too? I wondered how much that would have been.

That particular 76 was torn down several months after. A part of me miss it. Another part of me says thank god.

I see these guys on the minesite all the time up here. I can't imagine they'd require much experience if one was simply hauling waste bins around the site in a rolloff truck all day.
