They axle weighed me today. All three took 21 minutes, they actually made me sit and wait for the surge to stop. Other drivers were actually getting out of their trucks to see what was going on. How ridiculous is that? Can someone please explain the point of axle weight on a tanker? The line to get in was huge, all because they wouldn't let me go. I'm going to call Utah DOT, probably won't do any good but this was too much.
21 minutes to weigh in Utah!

I've wondered about that before sitting in line at a scale house with a liquid tanker on the scale. Not had the occasion very often but a couple times. Never took 20 minutes but taken twice as long as everyone else and wondered if they were waiting for weight to even out.

A couple of low IQ DOT officers on duty.
I would think with all the highly educated people unemployed these days, the states would be more picky about hiring DOT officers.fuzzeymateo and mje Thank this. -
florida always held me up, and i have no idea why as they allow 44 on tandems. -
