I'll agree, as far as them being nice when I was there. Got an overweight ticket there. I had a preloaded trailer (that I would argue was loaded incorrectly... anyway) and the load shifted when I braked pretty hard to avoid a four wheeler. Being kinda slow upstairs, I didn't think about the weight shift until I got pulled into the scale. They wrote me what I would consider a very generously small ticket, and were very kind to me the entire time.

Really, your going to call mommy, et over it. When I pulleddouble tanks the company used to call me out to Tehachapi (Cashe Creek) to bail out tankers that were over, Be Glad you were not over.

I had them get me at Southbound 15 leaving Utah into AZ. I showed them my CAT Scale from Marshalltown, then adjusted my tandems to , be legal. In Apex NV at the next CAT Scale sent copies of both to CAT, and CAT paid the 275.00 ticket just like they promise.

It's nearly impossible for many intelligent educated people to get a job nowadays. Nobody wants to train anybody for anything anymore -- they wait for the exactly qualified persons to magically appear. And if you're over a certain age or been out of work for a while, you might as well just forget it. Plus, I think there's an upper limit on intelligence for DOT and law enforcement types.

Really, call my mommy? So I should take it right, be a man don't try for change at all. Hey maybe next time another tanker will be in line then everyone can wait 42 minutes before continuing. Come on big boy, what else you got?

Yeah haven't you noticed? terms like 'putting on your big boy pants' are evolving to mean 'bend over and apply your own lube' :-D

back to the topic .. Seems VA has been waiting for tanks to settle too, tho not to the extent you mentioned. I've been making sure to shake it up real good before I go on .. If they really want to wait, May as well make it worth their while ,, and let them screw everyone behind me over in the process.

but yeah being anal on axles really is silly, esp on hilly/mountain terrain. You're spending more time going up hills, so most of the weight is gonna be on the trailer axles, most of the time. Except when you're going downhill, when it will be on your steers and drives. In a hilly state, the only time you're really legal with a loaded tanker is when you're sitting on their (level) scale.
