Witch wheel and tire would you run? 11r tires are out, I'm only talking LP 22.5 or 24.5!
I also have a set of SS drive tires would y'all run them? What's really the difference on drive tires VS trailer tires?

I like tall rubber myself, lo pros are all cool but for me my personal preference is 24.5 tall rubber

Super singles, one blows and there you are.

Tandem pops a hole you can still limp to the tire man some times.

Don't the 22s get you better fuel economy?

I run SS on my truck now and have never had a problem in fact I can't tell you the last time I've ever had a problem, I'm just thinking with them I could carry one spare and would work on truck or trailer

Good point, I never have had anything with super singles so have zero experience to be honest, the few times I have seen a super single with a flat they were in the middle of I 80 in Wyoming and places like that. So that was a little unnerving to see someone stranded like that.

But like I always say, if it works for you it is good.:biggrin_25525:

We run 22.5's on our trucks and flats. Our "used" steer tires end up on our trailers.

We run ss on our hoppers and have had good luck so far and the 400 lb weight savings is nice for commodities. Its all local work with them.

I'm signed up with the michelin advantage program they will bring me a tire anytime anywhere and don't have to pay for the call out just tire and mount. It don't matter if your loaded down and have a tire blow out your done, I had a dual 22.5 blow out one time on my truck it took out battery box air lines bags you name it I was down for the count!!!

I would run lp22.5 myself, I believe they have a lower rolling resistance than the 24.5's.
