2290 rejected at IRS? IRS delays in getting the EIN information?

Got my EIN registered in sept on the 15th. Hired a company to get my IRP & IFTA paperwork together for me so when I drive to the DMV 5 hours away for plates there are no issues. The company is also filing my 2290 for me, according to the IRS they state at-least 28 business days to get the EIN in there system since it’s new well I’m going on like 37 days and it’s still getting rejected. Anyone had this happen to them or have any insight??

All I remember is a letter with a pin# attached. Took a few weeks. That was 25 yrs ago. Sounds like they’re going backwards. Finally got my tax refund a week ago.

 

Yes it's something with the IRS right now. Basically anything that was processed on the 15th or later is being rejected and noone knows when it's going to be fixed. I've got a guy waiting to lease onto me but we can't get his truck plated because we are waiting for the 2290 to be accepted.

We've called the IRS, 2290 people, and noone knows when the issue is going to be resolved.

 

If you got a company to do your IRP plates should be mailed out…. FYI

Can't get IRP plates without a 2290 paid on that truck. And can't get the 2290 till irs processes the EIN which is the issue right now

 

OOOO!!! I was waiting for someone to ask this because I went through it! An EIN doesn't register in the IRS master list for up to 25 business days, so a 2290 might say that the EIN is not valid or there is a name control issue. Just give it 25 business days, and after day 20, try every day to get your 2290 through. It will go through eventually.

 

Got mine in about 20 mins by a web site some one reccomended on here. I think it was called trucker tax something. Some one will know
