Whats up people. Not sure if im asking this question in the right place, but here it goes.
I have a 2015 pete 389 with 3:55 rear with 18 speed. When i bought this truck brand new it had Bridgestone 24.5 11r all the way. I just bought a new Bfgoodrich tires in 24.5 lp, and now my speedometer is off by 5-6 mph. My rpm is too high at 70mph (1500+) before i could be going 75+ with rpms around 1550. It slows down a lot on hills. Is there anything i can do or is my best bet to buy another set of 8 drive tires? One guy told me i can change the tire size in the ecm but wont that only fix my speedometer? Im just confused my friend has same truck (motor, ratio, trans) and he has 22.5 lp and hes just fine with his rpms, he can be running 80mph in NV and still have his rpms under 1700.

    Really appreciate it!

8 new tall tires would be the easiest if you're looking to get back to moving right along at low rpms. If you just want your speedometer fixed they should be able to do that at most any shop I think.

Just put talls back on her and find somebody to buy your lopros for 500 bucks less than you played for them, somebody will buy them. That's a nice looking truck.

Something is different on your buddies truck....... there’s no way 22.5s would run the same as your old 24.5s .....

Something has to be spec’d differently.

When I ordered my 389 I got tall 24.5's and its 3.55. If I got low 24.5's it would have been 3.36 and 22.5 low was 3.25. I would say change to 3.36 gears or go back to tall 24.5's.

Get good used parts and I don't think it would cost more than 4 grand to maybe 5 but I'm really not sure on that.

More than a set of tires. Last front chunk I got (Eaton genuine reman) was $3800 plus labor. Rear rear was going for $2350 at that time.
