That’s smart, throw away $10 to recoup $2. It’s a shame he has a degree in economics but knows zero how economics work… a #### flip floper
We’re recouping billions in tarrifs but national debt is same as it was under sleepy joe and keeps going higher and higher. Hole is getting dug deeper and deeper

Yes, they do pay a significant part of them. Otherwise we would see a significant price increases, which is not the case so far. The customer is not affected.

If tariffs are bad, why do so many other countries have high ones?

Supply and demand, cheaper labor, cheaper materials. There’s a reason major economic players gave us the middle finger.

All of them are the same, throwing numbers out left and right that they can’t explain. He’ll tell you we gained 200 billion on tarrifs but won’t mention that we lost 600 through canceled deals on other gods also due to tarrifs.

    D.Tibbitt and 86scotty Thank this.

You dont follow him much and that is fine. He does back the farmers and will do what is needed to help them. I think with Kennedy he may even understand a little more about how the food is basically poison to most of us from the way they have to farm to stay alive. If we paid the farmers good money to farm right even if it was from the government I think we would save more money in the long run. The government spends so much money on health care BS and lots of that money could be spent on farming and fix most of the health issues in this country. Not trying to make this political either, just talking based off of how my buddy explains some of his problems when farming. This has been a problem for many many years and has exploded the last 10 years.

During the first month of covid I did #### but ran toilet paper loads and at least could stay afloat. Before covid hit I was able to do KCMO to SLC and back and make more at that time then I can still to this day. Loads are about 1000 cheaper one way and 800 cheaper back.

Not true, Lots of suppliers eat the cost or a percentage of that cost. Just depends on if they want to stay in business or not.

What has been canceled? Are you doing without on stuff because of something you can no longer buy in the USA?

You are wrong. There may be a few, very few suppliers who do, but virtually all are paid by Americans. One example, Ford is expecting a 2 billion dollar negative impact due to tariffs. Google any public company and you will see that most are announcing heavy impacts due to tariffs.
