Understand,, the bunk, TV, and ref outlets are usually rated for about 5 amps... to use the 400 watt inverter you will need to use the cigarette socket in front. (rated 20-30amps)

thanks, this charger has both the battery clamp and the cigarette plug, but the thing with this charger is that in order for me to use the 500 watts, I have to use the battery clamp hook directly to the battery, otherwise I can only use 100 watts using the cigarette plug, I've tried hooking up the TV which uses 25W and the PS2 slim which uses 45W to the sleeper cab plugging into the cigarette socket, it works great, but when I tried my Xbox 360 by itself, the charger giving me a warning signal, so that means I have to hook it directly to the battery, but how do I hook it to the battery? I have an inverter behind the driving seat but it doesn't work, and that it's connected to a black and a red wire which comes out of the ground under the driver seat, so do I disconnect the wires from the inverter and then clamp it for use with my 500W inverter? Will that be direct battery connection?

Yes, but look at the batteries for the same two wires and make sure they are connected to the batteries. They may have a 50 Amp ckt breaker attached.

A while ago I tried clamping my red clamp from my 500w inverter directly to the end of the red wire from the ground with it still attached to the broken 1500W inverter, and it created a lot of sparks and lots of smoke came out from the inverter, what happened here?
I'm not sure if I want to try it again, or is it 100% safe once the red wire from the ground is disconnected from the broken inverter?

Have your shop do it before you burn the dang truck down.

Agree, if you do not know what you are doing - consult your shop.

You probably shorted our your inverter.

Red does not go to ground BTW..

Did anyone one here read that he is referring to a TV from the 21st century? An LED basically has no surge...your inverter has issues. I have a 100w SIMA hooked up to my Vizio 23" LED with no issues whatsoever. I have even had my laptop plugged into the inverter at the same time as the TV as well, again, with no issues.
Now, I did have a small 13" CRT style TV from the time of the Crusades plugged into it, and it would 'turn on' 5-6 times before it could actually power up, from the power surge/warm up of the prehistoric TVs

ok, just one more stupid question and I'm done asking, when I tried to clamp the battery clamp to the wire while it is still connected to that already broken inverter, the smoke come out, I mean further damage to that inverter is no big deal because it is already broken, I'm afraid that I might have damaged the battery in any ways? Is it possible to blow a fuse or damage the battery from what I did earlier?

Their should be a 50 Amp ckt breaker attached to the wires going to the batteries. It is at the battery end.

Disconnect the wires from the batteries. Leaving a shorted inverter still attached to live batteries may end up in no truck to come back to after your shower...
