hi all,
I saw this video on youtube. You can get your CDL in 3-5 days. Basically you just take all the written test and they let you use their truck to go down to the DMV. all for $250. I thought trucking companies require 160 hour of class room/driving training? Is this a good idea. please watch the video and let me know please. thanks

$250 CDL School. Is this a good way to get a CDL?

What good is a CDL, without any experience behind the wheel? I would avoid it.

Id stay away from that you will be wasteing youre money

As the two above said .... stay away! How much tractor trailer experience do you have! You can't just jump in a tractor trailer and know (instinctively) how to drive it. It takes skill just to make a turn (let alone the skills required to back). So much is wrong about this that you should not give it another thought.

Sounds like from the video someone in Garland is getting their palm greased.

A couple different students showed up at our school eith cdl's from.same/similar schools because they couldn't get jobs...They can't shift or backup.
Most of those rentals are autos and 28' pups.
They go to a company, take a test and get told they need to learn to shift, then come back and try again.

Do it right or don't do it at all. Shortcuts in your training will only hurt you in the long run. That magic CDL won't back the truck into the dock for you, that's your job.
Dinomite, DoneYourWay and pattyj Thank this. -
I really appreciate every ones input. thanks everyone! I wont go this route. I called them twice today and left a message and they have not returned my call. I'm trying to find affordable CDL training in San Antonio Texas area. all I'v seen is Roadmasters but I'm not sure about them. Any one in the San Antonio TX area that knows about a good CDL school? or is RoadMaster ok?
thanks again all! -
